Formerly known as ICED, Innovate Rural brings together leaders in policy, workforce development, technology and culture to showcase what rural regions across Canada are building, deploying and scaling.

The 2026 program is structured around three integrated streams:
• Rural Innovation & Technology
• Academic and Policy
• Rural Arts Innovation

Grounded in the premise “Building Canada’s Future, From the Ground Up,” the conference demonstrates how rural regions deliver innovation, workforce capacity, cultural vitality and economic resilience that support long-term national prosperity.

Innovate Rural is delivered through a partnership between Southeast Techhub, Southeast College, the Saskatchewan Economic Development Alliance (SEDA) and the Institute for Research on Public Policy (IRPP).
